Every day I spend some time on social media to get an idea about current trends, conspiracy theories and how it transformed the earthlings to captives of screens. Few days ago I found quite a number of comments and criticisms of a spectacular event that took place in Cairo, Egypt lately.

It was the Royal Parade, a celebration that was performed amidst the transportation of twenty two mummies for Queens and Kings of ancient Egypt, from the old Egyptian museum in downtown Cairo to a new modern museum with high technology for the control of temperature, humidity and light towards the conservation of the mummies.

The parade was part of a masterpiece of artistic show that was made of magical tunes and voices which take you back to the ancient times, fabulous lights and customs, a true dazzling show.

A worthy majestic parade for paying homage to the queens and kings, who brought into the world “the dawn of conscience”.

Although the parade and the event have been performed with full consideration to the health and safety measures against the Covid 19, there were few comments that questioned that matter. Others inquired if it is the right time to have such an event while the world is busy with a pandemic, or were wondering if the expenses incurred could be employed towards other pressing issues.

However those pessimistic voices overlooked the fact that when we honour our great ancestors we are in fact respecting our present and our future. These mummies are priceless cultural treasures that belong to all humanity; the parade was a symbol of civilization and enlightened culture.

The world needs such a spirit to overcome those tough times that it goes through, which is no bigger or tougher than other calamities that the world has faced. But only persistence, hope, and belief in humanity are capable to conquer all.

Same as those Queens and Kings are witness to the power of human beings and determination to keep humanity eternal. It is very stressful to hear and watch some social media users practicing the same passive and depressive attitude when discussing the Covid 19, and how they spread the bitterness about using the vaccines.

A very shameful behaviour when a mass number of people create lies and myths about the prevention of Covid, building conspiracy theories similar to the low budget science-fiction movies, and imagining that some countries want to watch and control billions of people, with even they go beyond and deny that the virus exists.

Great civilizations were built by unity and collaboration between people and leadership in times of catastrophes, and to put aside political differences or struggles, for the sake of public interest, that’s what ancient people did with their Queens and Kings who are now glorified for their achievements
