Progressive school of management views human assets as the most valuable for the existence and survival of any organization, whether for profit or not-for-profit one. For a moment we might think that this is a characteristic of how to run organizations in the modern world of the advanced countries, where management sciences were created and being taught. But if we stop for a while and realize what is the de facto, we will be confounded by the modern management speech versus their actual acts. It became obvious that some organizations would preach ideas and principles contrary to their practices, in fact, they are being nourished by taking advantage of the economic stress or shortage of jobs to pressure their human assets, to accept unfavorable work conditions or lower benefits and compensations. Although factual numbers and business results show otherwise. When confronting those owners and entrepreneurs with such non-human behavior towards employees, they would unfeelingly reply, those who do not like it may leave! As we witness this happening, we imagine that we are living in the feudal age, or even the era of slavery in the Roman Empire. Despite all laws and principles of human rights and the labour laws, but still the spirit of law is absent when it comes to human assets rights, and the right of being a human. If we try to question that matter, why the laws tend to be more elastic when it comes to labour rights, we will find the answer very bitter, but we still hold hopes that it is not true. Since the law makers or the legislative are elected by people yet, the most donations and financial support come from the those who own the monetary capital and the human capital as well, accordingly, the eternal dilemma would rise to the surface, support the people or payback the donors! Other owners and entrepreneurs would imagine that they are untouchable, simply because their wealth can solve any problem, or mostly they lack the true human connection with their human assets. However, there are even more abusive practices when employers tend to supress the human capital, psychologically, believing that this should keep their employees in a state of anxiety from the possibility of losing their jobs, thus, employees become as the living dead, they lose the sense of living, of enjoying life, and foremost the hope for a better future that is secured and prosperous, and such state is the slow killing factor for human assets and their hopes. The role of management, who are also employed, has a significant effect on the security and stability of the human assets, and this will be discussed thoroughly in the next article.
